I'm excited to announce we have a guest workshop coming!!
“Mind over Menopause" - developing strategies for coping when our hormones run amok!
Date & Time: Friday 9th November – 7.00 - 9.00 pm
Venue: Vitality Centre, Manchester Road, Huddersfield.
So, we are doing all we can to address our hormonal imbalances and the related symptoms. We care for our bodies through exercise and think carefully about what we eat. We try to find time for self- care and relaxation. But do you sometimes still feel stressed, overwhelmed and anxious? Do you sometimes lose it, experience moments of negative emotions and find it hard to stay positive & motivated?
If so, we might have just the thing to help! Lisa Dickinson, a trainer and coach (www.lpda.co.uk ), will share some strategies for building resilience, managing some of those difficult emotions or thoughts and dealing with stress in the moment.
How we react to and handle different stressors in our lives, depends on a lot of things; workloads, time constraints, the people we interact with, our past experiences, and there is something more, our personality. There are inherent connections between stress, resilience and personality style. Once we gain an awareness of these connections, we can use the insights to put our personality strengths to work for us (instead of against us) to improve our stress levels.
This interactive, fun workshop will help you to:
- Understand connections between stress and personality style.
- Identify signs of stress, triggers, what helps; what makes it worse and how to reduce stress for your personality style.
- Identify strategies to help you manage stress and build resilience.
- Take part in a group coaching session to help identify actions you could take to improve your ability to cope.
- Connect and share experiences with others who may be experiencing similar issues.
Lisa runs workshops and 1:1 coaching programmes that help people to understand how their personality impacts their lives and their stress style. She provides practical tips that you can incorporate into everyday life.
